Orlando's GameTech Conference presents a dynamic program for the upcoming conference (March 28-30 in Orlando) that focuses on serious games, virtual worlds and mobile apps to help both the military and civilian organizations train, educate, and improve workforce performance through the use of technology. The event brings together not only users, but developers and training leaders/educators to discuss and promote gaming technologies for good, and also includes the award announcement of the prestigious Defense Federal Virtual World's Challenge.

February 21, 2012. Orlando, Fla. the National Center for Simulation, along with Team Orlando, announced today they have filled 141 speaking slots and 91 sessions/tutorials for the Defense Users' GameTech Conference, most of them within our local community. 

"This year's conference certainly lives up to GameTech's historical delivery of high-level keynote speakers,” stated Brent Smith, 2012 Program Chair.  “The local gaming technology experts in our backyard are not only impressive, but an essential piece to the GameTech program."

Military Training Technology, America's longest established simulation and training magazine, has featured an article about the great keynote speakers that will be at GameTech this year.

"Historically, the GameTech Conference has drawn big names and this year is no exception,” stated Brent Smith, 2012 Program Chair. “We are honored to have these invitations accepted by a group of diverse and value added speakers."

The 2012 Defense GameTech Users' Conference will feature keynotes from United States Air Force Commander General Edward A. Rice and Google's Chief Technology Advocate, Michael Jones.

Building on the long-standing government, industry and academic relationship, Team Orlando announced this month that the National Center for Simulation (NCS) will host the 2012 GameTech Conference.  The management move to NCS recognizes Central Florida as a hub of game-based training for the military and builds on previous growth and success of the GameTech conference. 

"GameTech's transition to NCS makes perfect sense," stated Pete Marion, Deputy Conference Director.  "NCS is headquartered in Orlando, and we have an established relationship with them.  They understand the end result of GameTech is to support our primary customer: the warfighter."
